and other types of test instruments for rental in the
Southern Africa region. These instruments may be rented on a
monthly or daily basis. A printed catalogue describing the
instruments in our inventory, and the procedure for renting
is available free of charge.

New?
Two Hewlett-Packard 8660C signal genrators are now available. They are fully
synthesized with a 1 or 2 Hz resolution over the frequency range of 1 MHz to 2.6 GHZ.
They have frequency or amplitude modulation, sweep, step tuning and an amplitude range
from -130 to +10 dBm. They have an oven timebase and tests show that they should stay
within about 10 Hz of the indicated frequency at 2 GHz. Frequency control is by entering
via the keypad or it can be varied with a tuning knob. Price is R 1595./ month.
ET is interested in buying a Fluke 5100B calibrator. Please let me know if you
know of any for sale.
Remember Electronik-Test offers the "Rent-a-Bench" program which allows a
client to come to the ET premises and use all available equipment for R75.00 an
hour. This can be very useful for a final check for EMI before taking the equipment up
to Pretoria for the expensive testing there.
